Vuković with representatives of caterers: The Capital will help caterers with amonut of EUR 80,000

Today, Mayor Ivan Vukovic, PhD, received representatives of the Association of Caterers of Podgorica with whom he discussed future joint activities leading to the reduction of epidemiological risks with the aim of continuing the work of catering facilities, respecting all prescribed measures of competent authorities.

"Since March, the Capital has been significantly helping caterers and other small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Podgorica in order to save every job, and bearing in mind that the crisis is lasting longer than we thought, we will soon publish a public a call for a new type of support for caterers worth EUR 80 thousand”, Vuković said.

During the meeting, the Mayor pointed out the complexity of the epidemiological situation and the need for partnership, both at the level of state bodies supported by the municipal services of the Capital, and from the level of the Association of Caterers of Podgorica, in order to mitigate the consequences which we face as a social community.

"In the coming days, we will organize another meeting with the Operational Headquarters operating in the Capital with the aim of finding even more efficient methods and ways to solve the problems we face every day, and with the support of the Association of Caterers I have no doubt that it will be much easier and that when this negative trend finally starts to change to enter a zone that will enable a more normal functioning ", Mayor Vuković concluded.

Representatives of the Association of Caterers of Podgorica thanked Mayor Vuković for his continuous support and understanding for the needs of caterers throughout the coronavirus epidemic, emphasizing that without the support of the Capital, most of them would not be able to keep all jobs and to sustain business.

They once again expressed their gratitude for the initiative and determination of the Capital, to additionally financially support the caterers in this difficult and challenging moment.

In the end, the representatives of the caterers appealed and called on all colleagues who are less responsible for what is in the general social interest to change the previous bad habits and practices in order to avoid new locking of catering facilities, because the vast majority of them wouldn’t be able to resume work afterward.
