In the Mayor's Office, the City Manager is responsible for:

•    proposing and participating in the preparation and implementation of development plans and programmes of the Capital City that boost economic development, entrepreneurial initiative, and public–private partnerships, and provide environmental protection and sustainable development;
•    preparing and managing projects which are funded by international funds and other sources, and monitoring their implementation;
•    drafting information and reports on implementation of city projects;
•    establishing and maintaining a database on plans, programmes, and projects, and submitting information on projects and their implementation to the ministry competent for economic affairs in accordance with the special law;
•    initiating amendments of regulations which weaken business initiative;
•    other tasks delegated by the Mayor.
