The 28th edition of the December art scene opens with the exhibition of the political poster "PRO ET CONTRA" of the Slovenian group New Collectivism
03/12/2020The exhibition of the political poster "Pro et contra" by the Slovenian group New Collectivism last night opened the 28th edition of the December Art Scene 2020 in the locale of the Collector / Club of artihects. The exhibition was realized in a virtual format, due to the epidemiological situation and in accordance with the measures of the NCB (National Coordinating Body), and was broadcast through social networks and the YouTube channel Secretariat for Culture and Sports Podgorica.
Secretary of the Secretariat for Culture and Sports Ana Medigović expressed satisfaction that the event is being realized, despite the specific circumstances in which we find ourselves to be, with regret that we are not able to realize the program in the atmosphere that adorned last year's opening of DEUS. She expressed satisfaction with the quality of the programs of this year's DEUS, noting that the Secretariat, along with other cultural institutions of the city, realized most of the cultural programs planned for this year, although culture is one of the social segments most exposed to coronavirus.
Medigović pointed out that this year, along with numerous traditional cultural programs, the Capital focused on activities aimed at building and equipping the City Theater building, which we expect to open next year, but also on the reconstruction of Kuslev's House, Modern Gallery, Art Gallery and Summer Scene.
After the secretary's greetings, the companions were able to see the setting of the exhibition "Pro et contra", while the curator of the exhibition Nela Gligorović talked with Miran Mohar about the beginnings of the New Collectivism group, the Yugoslav context, the constitution of NSK State in Time, as well as contemporary artistic practices.
