EUR 160,000 approximately will be invested in the repair of the pump station on Mareza

The city company Water supply and sewerage, in accordance with the recommendations of the manufacturer "Torishima", carries out regular overhaul of four pump units at the pump station "Mareza 2" with the aim of their further uninterrupted work and sustainability of operational safety of this facility.

Overhaul of the unit is performed by specialized companies KMN servis and CMC GROUP, and the contracted value of works with the purchase of spare parts is 159,985.73 euros. Supervision over these activities is performed by the Institute for the Development of Research in the Field of Occupational Safety - Podgorica, and the works will be completed by the end of the year.

We remind you that by the middle of 2012, the reconstruction of the Pumping Station "Mareza 2", the most important facility in the water supply system of Podgorica, was completed. The reconstruction was completed within the donation program of the Government of Japan (JICA), which was realized in cooperation with the Capital City of Podgorica and the company "Vodovod i kanalizacija" (Water supply and sewerage) Ltd. as the end user. The reconstruction included the installation of four new pump units with a power of 400 kW and the strengthening of a part of the supporting structure with a steel substructure with the aim of normalizing the vibratory condition in this facility.
