Embassy of Greece and the Capital will continue successful cooperation in the next period

The Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, PhD, met today for the first time with the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Montenegro, Panagiotis Partsos.

On that occasion, Vuković pointed out that Montenegro and Greece have a long tradition of excellent bilateral relations, which he hopes will be further strengthened in the coming period. He also reminded that, regardless of the epidemiological challenges during this year, Podgorica continues to develop continuously and is financially stable, and although the next year is unpredictable, it will continue at the same pace.

The Ambassador of Greece expressed his wish to, together with Greek companies operating in Montenegro, provide support and assistance to the institutions in Podgorica that need it the most at the moment, so it was agreed that such a joint visit would be organized in the coming days.

Aware that the coronavirus has greatly affected the entire community, we hope that next year will be better and that it will open the door to many joint projects, said the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Panagiotis Partsos.

The interlocutors agreed that the strengthening of diplomatic relations between Montenegro and Greece should continue in the future, and next year, on the occasion of marking the 200th anniversary of the independence of the Hellenic Republic, they will organize a series of events in Podgorica as well.

It was concluded at the meeting that, despite the complex epidemiological situation, the continuous development of the city is evident in Podgorica and there is a common desire that the next meeting will provide more space for new ventures.
