Podgorica receives first information panel for vehicle speed measurement

City manager Marjan Junčaj together with representatives of the company AŽD Praha s.r.o. and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Montenegro, today attended the launch of the first information panel for measuring vehicle speed. Thanks to the professional support of the city company Communal services  and the Secretariat for Traffic, the panel was placed at the very entrance to Podgorica from the direction of Cetinje, i.e. at the location where the M3,3 road and 21.Maj  Boulevard connect.

Manager Junčaj thanked Otakar Kamenik, the director of AŽD Praha, a company that develops devices for the safe functioning of railway and road traffic, for a valuable donation and thanked the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Karel Urban, for his presence. He emphasized that with the help of the information panel, drivers will receive a warning, which will contribute to respecting the rules and greater responsibility of all traffic participants, adding that human life has no price, and that we must work to combat speeding, which is the main cause of traffic accidents. The information panel for measuring the speed of the vehicle has an additional display for sending information to the driver to reduce the speed of the vehicle, if it exceeds the limit.

The director of AŽD Praha, Otakar Kamenik, emphasized that he will continue to be a partner to the Capital when it comes to the development of the concept of a smart city in Montenegro, on which Podgorica, as its capital, is working intensively.

We remind you that the first project that marked the beginning of AŽD Praha's business in the field of road traffic, and in order to have good cooperation with the Capital, referred to the successful installation of bicycle traffic meters in Podgorica, on Blaža Jovanovića Bridge (2019).
