Vuković and Suhih met the representatives of health institutions on the occasion of the Day of Liberation of Podgorica: By building a better health care system we are building a better society

On the occasion of the Liberation Day of Podgorica, Mayor Ivan Vuković, PhD, and President of the Capital Assembly Đorđe Suhih, PhD, with associates, received today representatives of health care institutions - Clinical Center, Institute of Emergency Medicine, Institute of Public Health, Institute of Children's Diseases and Health Center Podgorica.

The Mayor and the President of the Assembly thanked the doctors, medical workers, as well as the management of health institutions for everything they have done in the past period in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, and on that occasion handed them gifts and letters of gratitude. On that occasion, they emphasized that the city administration is proud of the contribution that they all give to the overall social community in the fight to preserve the health of the nation.

"Considering that for objective reasons we are not able to implement all programs and activities that characterize the days before December 19 - Liberation Day of Podgorica, but also after that, we decided that the best way to utilize time and resources is to indicate to you exactly the proper attention and respect", Vuković emphasized and added that on a similar occasion, the representatives of the Capital presented gifts to the Homes for the Elderly in Bijelo Polje and Risan, the Children's Home Mladost in Bijela, and previously met with the directors of social and health care institutions.

The mayor said that the city administration will always support efforts and initiatives to improve working conditions and procure the necessary equipment for health care institutions, emphasizing that by building a better health care system we are building a better society.

The President of the Assembly, Đorđe Suhih, PhD, pointed out the importance of the health system for our society and stated with satisfaction that the administration of the Capital has very serious plans and ambitions when it comes to contributing to the improvement of health in Podgorica and whole of Montenegro.

Representatives of the health system personally and in front of the institutions thanked for the continuous support of the Capital and the most responsible people in the city administration, especially for the fact that the Capital recognized their efforts in the fight against coronavirus having in mind the fact that Podgorica as the largest city also faced the largest challenges. They pointed out that the recognition for responsible and dedicated work and the award from the Capital mean a lot to them and that it represents an incentive for future work.
