Support for creative entrepreneurship continues next year as well; Vouchers for 12 most creative ideas delivered
22/12/2020The Capital is in cooperation with partners Delta City and Strategist Ltd. and this year selected the 12 most creative producers within support for creative entrepreneurship. On that occasion, Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, PhD, presented vouchers to the winners of support for creative entrepreneurship, whose ideas were recognized and evaluated as the best in the recently completed competition. The Secretariat for Entrepreneurship of the Capital has set aside €24,000 for this purpose this year as well, and the winners will receive a free central stand in the Delta City shopping mall for a month, where they can present and sell their products, as well as marketing mentoring provided by Strategist.
Mayor Vuković emphasized that he is proud of young people who have creative business ideas. "We started last year, and this year we are continuing with the realization of the project for support to creative entrepreneurs from the territory of the Capital and this is another fantastic project that absolutely justified our expectations. During this year, despite all problems that we faced, together with our partners, we have successfully implemented a project that is very well designed. On the one hand, people who are beginners in business, who have good ideas, who could find their place in the market tomorrow, received financial support from the Capital and free accounting services for a year, then a month free booth in TC Delta City, which is very popular, as well as significant marketing services from Strategist in the form of promotion on social networks", Vuković said.
The mayor pointed out that despite numerous challenges this year, the first round of the competition resulted in creative business ideas that were proven to be sustainable.
"As a result of the realization of the first cycle of this project, we already have a successful number of entrepreneurs, we have several jobs and we have new products from Podgorica and Montenegro that we are very proud of. Although this year is very challenging and difficult, in this way we send the message that, if people are creative, if they are willing to dedicate themselves to it — it is possible that together we can improve the level of economic activity and create new jobs thanks to businesses that will be sustainable in the long run", Vuković said, adding that he was proud that the Capital supported creative women's entrepreneurship and the development of entrepreneurship in Stara Varoš (Old Town), thus saving many jobs and even opening new ones.
"Today, Podgorica is recognized by these creative people, and I hope that there will be even more of them in the upcoming time", Mayor concluded.
On behalf of the winners, Milena Đergović addressed the audience and on behalf of the other winners she expressed gratitude to the Capital and partners for the realization of this very important project.
“Everyone who sees young creators today and who sees a new wave of creativity that can promote us in the country, the region and the world and who deals with the ideas of young creative people deserves great gratitude from me and from all of these wonderful people we met and heard their stories today", Đergović said.
