Conditions have been created for stable financing of FC Budućnost for the next ten years

At the XXII session of the Assembly of the Capital, the councilors will decide on the Proposal of the decision on giving consent to the Agreement on the management of the Football Club Budućnost.

In the previous period, we managed to realize what we have been trying to do for a long time - to find a financially stable and business-credible partner who would take on the obligation to manage the most important sports team in Podgorica.

Satisfied with the current cooperation with a strategic partner in this field – Savana company, the city administration has decided to offer this reliable partner a multi-year contract that completely releases the Capital from the obligation to finance the club for a period of ten years. In the same period, the partner will be obliged to invest a minimum of €12 million in the business and development of the club.

We are witnesses that in the last year the club has experienced remarkable progress in all fields, both in terms of financial consolidation and the essential - sports results. Apart from the fact that in this way the City will save significant funds, it is important to point out that one of the symbols of our city, in anticipation of the celebration of the centenary of its founding, will continue with intensive development at all levels.

After the Basketball Club "Budućnost Voli", this is another club from our blue and white family, which in this way got a sponsor who will provide it with a return to the old success paths. We believe that this proposal will receive the unanimous support of the councilors in the Assembly of the Capital.
