A new lighting on “Cetinjski put” and part of a May 21 Boulevard worth € 60,000

Municipal corporation, Communal Services Podgorica, in accordance with the recommendations for the design, construction and maintenance of public lighting, has completed another significant and valuable project for the reconstruction of public lighting. It is about the replacement of obsolete, energy inefficient lamps with modern LED lamps on the route of the Cetinjski put road, as well as on the part of 21.maj Boulevard. This reconstruction also includes two roundabouts near Delta City shopping mall as well as near the RTCG building. In addition to replacing 110 lamps, the works included shortening, cleaning and painting the poles, and the value of the investment is around € 60,000.

We would like to remind you that earlier, during the construction of 21.maj Boulevard, LED lighting was already installed on a part of the mentioned road, so now this road route, about 5.5 km long, is fully illuminated with modern LED lighting. In addition to better lighting of the main road with accompanying pedestrian and bicycle surfaces, the new LED lighting has a significantly better color reproduction index, and electricity consumption is reduced by over 50%, as well as emission of harmful gases.

The capital will continue with projects in the coming period in order to improve communal infrastructure and improve living conditions in all parts of the city. Accordingly, at the request of a large number of citizens, the public lighting of the main roads in Zabjelo, i.e. Ilija Plamenac Street and 27.mart, will be reconstructed according to the same model.
