The Mayor of Podgorica Ivan Vuković and the President of the Municipality of Danilovgrad Zorica Kovačević, together with associates, earlier today visited the new children's playground in Pažići- a gift from the Capital City Podgorica.

On that occasion, the Mayor Vuković expressed satisfaction that this perhaps small but at the same time greatly important project for the Municipality of Danilovgrad, has been completed successfully, to the pleasure of the youngest residents of the town. "It is about the construction of EUR 20,000 worth children's playground that we have previously agreed with the management of the Municipality of Danilovgrad, and we thus continue with our strategic orientation towards helping neighboring and other municipalities in implementing such and similar projects", Vuković pointed out.

He reminded that a couple months ago the Capital City also supported EUR 30,000 worth sports ground reconstruction in the vicinity of three high schools in Cetinje, stressing the need for new generations to spend their quality time and play as previous generations used to.

The Mayor promised that in the coming year Capital City will donate funds for construction of sports ground near the location of new children's playground in Danilovgrad.

"It is completely natural for me considering the strong bond between Danilovgrad and Podgorica, and for that reason I am very pleased with the great success we made together on the infrastructural plan in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro. After long wait, the old road to Danilovgrad is now completely reconstructed, and in a year, year and a half, we will get the most modern around EUR 20,000 worth boulevard in Montenegro. Together, we have joined forces to protect the river Zeta and these are all the facts that enrich and reinforce our already great cooperation", Vuković concluded, expressing hope that in the coming year they will gather again at the same location on a similar occasion.

The President of the Danilovgrad Municipality Zorica Kovačević, on behalf of both Municipality and the local community of Danilovgrad 3 which got a new children's playground, shared her gratitude towards both Vuković and the Capital City for this valuable gift to the youngest residents of Danilovgrad.

"This is not the first time that Danilovgrad and Podgorica demonstrate their outstanding cooperation. That cooperation has lasted for years now while being intensified over the past two years, so it cannot be linked only to the construction of the children's playground in Pažići. The company Vodovod i kanalizacija has recently helped us move the pipeline to the site of the reconstruction of the old road to Podgorica, which we consider a great support to our water supply system and the investment worth EUR 100,000", Kovačević stressed, emphasizing the excellent cooperation and support from other Capital City companies too. She stated that there is a plan for signing a cooperation agreement with Putevi and Deponija, and she especially thanked the Capital City for the support given to the management of Danilovgrad regarding the agreement of the governing body for Zeta River Park.

"I would also like to point out that an agreement on the management of Vučji studenac water source is nearing completion, with the interest of making a contract between Vodovod from Podgorica and Danilovgrad, to the satisfaction of its users, given that over 80 % of residents of Podgorica use that source for water supply", Kovačević underlined.

"Generally, our cooperation is very good and I hope that it will remain so and that we will continue to receive support from the Capital City in the years to come.
