Mayor Vuković organized a reception for the winners of the Capital scholarship; We will continue to support students because it is the best investment in the future of Podgorica and Montenegro
30/12/2020The Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, Ph.D., with his associates, today organized a reception for the best students, winners of the scholarship of the Capital for the academic year 2020/2021.
On this occasion, the Mayor emphasized that the future belongs to young people, that the Capital, as it has always done, will provide them with support and encouragement, and that this is the best way to end this difficult year.
"This year, the Capital has the opportunity and pleasure to reward a number of students who have distinguished themselves in the previous period with their hard work, commitment and results. This is a modest but the best investment in the future of Podgorica and Montenegro, and we used today's meeting to further encourage these young people to continue to walk the paths they have trodden", Vuković said, adding that depending on how perspicacious they will be, how much they will be brave, that's how much the better and more prosperous our future will be.
"I am glad that the tradition continues and that we will be able to boast that we, as an institution, have helped academic development as much as possible, and I am sure that in this way we have strengthened the foundation of what will be the future professional success of this generation of our scholarship holders", Vuković concluded.
On behalf of the scholarship winner, Nina Perišić pointed out that she is grateful that the Capital recognizes young people and shows respect for their work. "This year, as well as previous ones, the Capital delighted us in December and showed how much it appreciates our efforts and commitment and how much it actually recognizes its best students and gives them a chance for further training, how important it is to stay here, but also to gain experience in professional life as part of work in the Capital. One part of our scholarship contract is just doing an internship, which will certainly be a significant professional experience for us. We are immensely grateful to the Capital for being here this year through the awarding of the student award on December 19, as well as this scholarship, for which we are immensely grateful and for which we are very proud of our city", Perišić concluded.
