Reconstruction of Bokeška Street will begin after the holidays; Caterers will be able to perform their activities without major interruptions

Reconstruction of Bokeška Street will begin after the holidays, on January 11, 2021, so that catering facilities will be able to perform their activities unhindered during the holidays.

The works on the reconstruction of this street include the construction of new stone sidewalks, the current road surface will be covered with granite slabs, and a completely new water and atmospheric infrastructure, sewerage and public lighting will be installed. Caterers will get more space to perform their activities, and the canopies of future terraces, which will be separated from the facilities, will be unified. The total value of the works is EUR 377,000, and the deadline for the execution of works is 120 days.

During the execution of works, the contractor will try to provide access to all catering facilities as much as possible, but in a shorter time interval, in order to safely perform works, catering facilities will be closed. In addition, the contractor expressed his belief that, if the weather conditions allow, the works will be completed before the scheduled deadline.

We remind you that the beginning of the works was preceded by a meeting between the Mayor, Ivan Vukovic, Ph.D., and associates with the caterers, at which they were introduced to all the details.
