Works on the project of Wastewater Collection and Treatment in Podgorica have continued

After the stabilization of weather conditions in Podgorica, the works on the realization of the Wastewater Collection and Treatment Project continued, on all three active components: the primary pipeline, the secondary sewerage network and the pedestrian pipeline bridge on Morača.

Works on the primary pipeline or collector are currently performed on two segments in parallel. One Bemax team continued work from the Southwest Bypass to the site of the new plant, while the other completed the laying of the remaining 950m of water supply and 250m of secondary sewerage on the stretch from Dahna/Dajbabe to the Southwest Bypass. The works on the new collector are expected to be completed in May this year, followed by the final phase of asphalting and testing.

In the southern area of the secondary sewerage system (LOT 1), Braće Ribar Street is being prepared for asphalting, which has not been possible so far due to precipitation. The company Tehnoput-MNE, which is now a full-fledged contractor in this part after Konik and Vrela Ribnička, will start activities in the part of Masline and Ibričevina. The estimated deadline for the completion of all works is mid-December 2021. Work continued in the northern area (LOT 2), i.e. in Antona Čehova Street in Murtovina, after which it will begin in Sava Orovića Street. In Zagorič, Vita Nikolića Street is being prepared for asphalting. Works in the northern area should be completed during August.

The activities of the construction of the pedestrian pipeline bridge on Morača continue, i.e. welding and painting continue, after which the installation of the third segment, bridging and installation of hydraulic installations will follow. The end of works on the bridge is scheduled for September 2021, but Bemax, which is the contractor in this part, according to the current dynamics, will be completed before the deadline.

During 2021, official activities for the fourth, main segment of the project will begin. The construction of a new plant with complete treatment of sewage sludge is the last and most important phase of the construction of the wastewater treatment system itself. A pre-qualification call for the selection of contractors for the plant, whose location will be Industrial Zone - Aluminum Plant Podgorica, will be published soon. The contractor is expected to be selected by the middle of this year.
