Office for Youth and NGO Interlingua organized session of Youth Local Parliament

As part of the "Motivate, Activate, Participate" project, a simulation of the youth parliament session was organized in the plenary hall of the Capital Assembly, attended by project participants, Nikolina Mirotić, representative of the Youth Office - Secretariat for Local Self-Government and Secretary of the Capital Assembly Veselin Vukčević.

During their presentation, the project participants presented initiatives on participation mechanisms and youth activism. During the discussion, the representatives of the local self-government informed the participants about the system of work of the city administration and services of the Capital, the concept of the Youth Office and its implemented activities and future projects, as well as the advantages of Birziminium Hub.

The participants of the session received answers to the questions asked regarding the participation of young people in the decision-making process and the life of the local community. During the discussion, a number of ways were presented how young people can be part of this process or its initiators themselves. They singled out important topics such as: culture and cultural content, non-formal education, preservation of psycho-physical health, improvement of the position of persons with disabilities, a larger number of environmental actions and scholarships for pupils and students.
