The Capital will support NGO projects with EUR 60,000 this year

The Council for Cooperation between the Capital and non-governmental organizations held a consultative meeting today with interested representatives of NGOs, at which the priority areas to which the Capital will provide financial support in the amount of EUR 60,000 for various projects in 2021 were discussed.
The President of the Council for Cooperation between the Capital and Non-Governmental Organizations, Đorđe Suhih, ph.D., thanked everyone for their presence and constructive meeting, reminding that the Capital remains open to improving cooperation with NGOs by continuing to support projects of special importance to the community.
Ivona Međedović, Head of the Mayor's Office, thanked the NGO representatives for their useful suggestions, emphasizing that the Capital has so far contributed to the topics that were the subject of today's meeting, especially in the field of social protection, bearing in mind that for various social services and other types of support during the previous year the City allocated EUR 800,000. Međedović emphasized that the Capital has an ear for all constructive criticism, and that the plan is to prepare a project that will unite many services and provide additional space for even more successful cooperation with the NGO sector. She reminded that the Capital is committed to the social inclusion of Roma and Egyptians, and that currently 13 people of this population are interns in the Capital, which we are very proud of. She also referred to the recently held meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations dealing with animal protection and the formation of a working group that will give concrete results in this area in the coming period.
During the meeting, NGO representatives presented their proposals and explanations for projects and areas to which they pay special attention and pointed out that the assistance of local government in the implementation of imagined projects is of great importance because specific topics are extremely important for the development of the whole community.
