Residents of the village of Botun against the asphalting of alternative access road : obvious obstruction by politically motivated individuals

Following the communication with residents of the village of Botun as regards the construction of the wastewater collection and treatment system in Podgorica, the Capital City Podgorica met their request (their only one at that time) and gave an order to a city company Putevi to promptly complete the asphalting of the alternative access road that residents of the village of Botun were not satisfied with.

Even though the residents of the village of Botun also made this request through the media, when workers went to the field, they faced the dissatisfaction of one part of the population, which ultimately resulted in suspension of works.

Therefore, it is obvious that in this particular case it is about the obstruction of one part of the population of the village of Botun, whose priority is evidently not the improved quality of life in that part of town. Encouraged by the statements of the representatives of certain political parties, it is clear that in this way they are trying to sabotage and politicize the ambitions of the Capital City Administration to solve the real problems and challenges.

The proof of the quality of this project is the fact that the European Union invested over EUR 10 million in its implementation, and for that reason we will not allow politically motivated individuals to obstruct the development of Podgorica. Being the responsible City Administration, we will use all legal means to provide the preconditions for the most important project for Podgorica to be completed and thus prove that Montenegro is a country of the rule of the law.
