The Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vukovic, PhD, declared March 22nd, 2021, a Day of Mourning in remembrance for the deceased from the consequences of the coronavirus, on the territory of Podgorica. 

"The anniversary of the death of the first victim of the corona virus in our country obliges us to treat all victims of this planetary plague with special respect and to show compassion to their families who unexpectedly and suddenly lost their loved ones," said Mayor Vukovic .

The Mourning Day will be marked by flag flying at half - staff on the Administration building of the Capital City Podgorica, as well as public services, companies and institutions founded by the Capital City, along with the facilities of local communities and other institutions in the Capital City Podgorica. 

The local broadcaster RTV Podgorica ​​will customize its program in order to mark the Day of Mourning. Electronic and other media on the territory of the Capital CityPodgorica, organizers of public programs and contents are obliged to adapt their programs and contents to marking of the Day of Mourning.

The Capital City Podgorica in this way shows its support to the Initiative of the President of Montenegro to declare March 22nd as the Day of the National Remembrance for the deceased from the consequences of the coronavirus in Montenegro.
