Vuka Karadžića Street got a charging point for electric cars

A public charging point for electric cars has been set up in Vuka Karadžića Street and will soon be handed over for use to all citizens and visitors of Podgorica. This is another publicly available installation of this type that provides the possibility for all users of electric cars to use the charging station. In the first year, charging the e-car will be free. This project was realized on the basis of a donation agreement with the company Venntour (Tesla Club Montenegro), which provided a charger for electric vehicles.

We remind you that last year, Podgorica received the first charging station for electric cars, which was set up on the corner of Vučedolska and Njegoševa streets, and was procured through the project Development of Low Carbon Tourism, through a partnership between UNDP and MORT, with the support of the Capital.

In this way, the Capital continued to develop the concept of a smart city, aware that the use of electric vehicles is desirable given that they offer numerous benefits - less pollution, reduced CO2 emissions, reduced noise levels, increased energy efficiency and independence from fossil fuels.
