The city celebrates International Coastal Cleanup Day with the action of cleaning the riverbed of Sitnica river

The Capital of Podgorica, the Secretariat for Local Self-Government, the Office for Youth and the city companies Čistoća and Zelenilo have organized an action of cleaning the bank and the riverbed of Sitnica river. The action was organized on the occasion of the International Coastal Cleanup Day, which is being held every third Saturday of September, and 80 bags of municipal waste were removed, as well as a large amount of vegetable and bulky waste.

As a reminder, International Coastal Cleanup Day is celebrated around the world in more than 127 countries with several hundred organizations, and the goal is for local residents to clean the banks of rivers and seas, pointing out the importance of environmental protection and the problem of plastic overuse.
