A new program of work of a National Kitchen

On September 2, the Capital signed an agreement on preparing meals for people in a need of a financial support with the school for secondary and higher vocational education Sergije Stanić, for the delivery of a free daily meal for the National Kitchen. Apart from the fact that the students of the vocational school Sergej Stanić will improve their skills and prepare quality and tasty meals for fellow citizens who need it the most, we hope that this type of cooperation will influence our future generations to develop a sense of empathy and humanity. In accordance with the contract, the school will prepare meals exclusively through its Training Center, and as before, 30% of meals will be delivered to the home addresses of users, while the rest will be delivered to the National Kitchen in Konik.

The new model of work now allows the number of meals to be adapted to all situations. Currently, 600 meals are delivered daily through the National Kitchen, but with this contract the conditions are created that, if necessary, this number can be increased in the coming period. The budget has allocated € 450,000.00 for this purpose.

Food safety control is performed by authorized institutions for food safety control, at least once a month, and more often if necessary.

The National Kitchen is available to users every day from 12:00h to 14:00h.

We remind you that the National Kitchen proved to be one of the most important social services during the period of the coronavirus epidemic, which enabled the delivery of food to financially disadvantaged families in quarantine and self-isolation, while respecting all protection and disinfection measures.
