The Capital provides free textbooks for all first-graders of Podgorica this year as well

The Capital and the Secretariat for Social Welfare have allocated funds in the amount of EUR 115,000 this year for the assignment of free textbooks to the first-graders of Podgorica. In this way, we continue the good practice, in cooperation with line ministries, that all children who attend the first grade of primary school in the territory of Podgorica receive free textbooks. Also, part of the funds will be allocated for the purchase of school supplies for students of all grades of primary schools of lower financial status.

We remind you that the Capital has set aside more than EUR 600,000 in the past six years, and in that way over 12,000 first-graders received free textbooks, and more than 2,000 children from low-income families received financial aid for the purchase of school supplies.

In accordance with the current epidemiological situation, unlike in previous years, this year will not be organized ceremonial handing over of textbooks by the leadership of the Capital.
